ABOUT US
"Msichana" Swahili word for girl, born on the principle that every life is precious; every girl deserves a fair start at life to realize her full potential from birth to adulthood.
Msichana Empowerment Kuria is a girls and young women-led non-profit community-based organization in Kenya, founded in 2015. Our vision is of " Healthy and Safe Communities for girls"
A vital aspect of this goal has been to utilize girl-centred interventions to tackle root causes sustained by Economic, Social & Cultural barriers to the development of girls in communities across Africa.

For every girl, a voice
By promoting girls leadership and empowerment, particularly those most left behind, We support girl-led & centred programming in girls’ education, health & well-being aimed at breaking the silence and structured barriers to girl development.
For every girl, a choice
We partner with girls, work with families, schools, community organizations, businesses and non-profits. Using girl-centred approaches, we integrate our programming with girls, boys, and families.
For every girl, agency
We are strengthening girls’ assets and agency to exercise their rights, including ensuring access to education and improved livelihood opportunities and girls’ safe spaces.
